Fall Dance

To be honest I never was a fan of fall colours. I often find them looking too garish, especially seeing those bright reds against still stronger greens. This is coming from someone who LOVES high chroma colour. This year however, I started to see possibilities for fall painting for the first time. I have observed certain scenes around my neighbourhood where lighting looked at times literally unreal to my eyes. I will be posting some of those observations and efforts soon.

Here is a children's book illustration celebrating the season.

That is absolutely stunning. I can hear both the music and her feet that barely touch the ground:-)

Great painting indeed, I love it. May I ask, which brand of pastels you are using? Many thanx in advance.

I use a variety of pastels. Terry Ludwig, wish some NuPastel and Sennelier. For this peice I used mostly Nupastels, their bright range lend them self neatly to illustration.
